Customer Frequently Asked Questions:
When exactly is my contact information released to the seller or dealership?
Your contact information will be released to the seller or dealership only when you have approved a vehicle and given your permission to do so.
Will any of my information be given to anyone else?
Absolutely not, your information is protected by VehicleWanted until you give the approval for its release. At that point it will be given only to the participating seller or dealership.
How long does my request stay posted?
Your request will stay active for 30 days or until VehicleWanted produces a vehicle that meets your requirements, whichever comes first.
What if VehicleWanted produces the vehicle that I have requested but I do not give the approval for
my contact information to be released?
Your contact information will not be released. Your request will remain posted for the term of the agreement.
When will my credit card or Paypal account be charged?
Your credit card or Paypal account will only be charged when we have produced the vehicle that you have requested.
Will my account be charged if I don't approve a vehicle that has been presented to me?
Yes. Once VehicleWanted has fulfilled it's obligation to produce a specified vehicle your account will be charged.
What if no vehicle matches my description within the 30 days?
You will not be charged and you will be asked if you would like to extend your listing for another term.
What if the vehicle I've requested doesn't match the vehicle offered to me?
VehicleWanted will review your criteria and the vehicle in question. If the vehicle presented does not match your request you will not be charged. Any adjustment needed to your posting will then be made and you will be credited for any lost days on your listing.
Can I request multiple vehicles?
Yes. You can use your profile to make multiple listings. Each posting will be charged the listing fee.
Why am I asked about my credit?
This gives the seller or dealership an idea of what type of financing, if any, may be required. Your listing is treated the same regardless of how you may intend to pay for a vehicle. No credit information is accessed by VehicleWanted.com. Payment method will be between you and the seller or dealer.
What happens if I agree to have my contact information given to the seller or dealer and the vehicle
I have approved is sold before the seller or dealer has a chance to contact me?
You will be notified that the vehicle is no longer available. Your contact information will not be given out and you will not be charged.
How do I know my contact information will be released to a credible seller or dealership?
Sellers and dealerships agree to a strict code of conduct before any contact information is released. We also encourage customer feedback which helps us identify only the most honest and reliable sellers and dealerships.
How do I know the price the seller or dealership quotes me is fair?
Vehicle Wanted asks the seller or dealership for their best price. We verify that the price they quote is within reason according to current industry guides. However, once you have established communication with the dealer you can negotiate their price or any of their fees.
